Metropolis - Barbershop in Meridian, Idaho

A while back I scheduled an appointment with Michelle is her name I think. She's the owner. My friend offered to watch my daughter for an hour so I could get my hair cut. First of all, she talked constantly. Mostly about politics and asked me weird questions about my political views but gave me no time to answer her questions before she started talking again. It took her about 30 minutes to even get started on my hair because she kept talking to me and other people in the salon. I noticed she had a glass that she was drinking from that smelled of liquor. Her breath smelled like alcohol and I'm fairly certain there is a really good chance that she was drunk. She kept talking about what made her different from other salons was that she takes her time while doing hair but it seems she spent most of her time not doing my hair. After being there for almost 2 hours my friend started to text me asking what was taking so long because I had only went in for a haircut and she needed to get to work. I wish I were lying about this. It took me a really long time to decide to write this review. I don't usually believe in writing reviews but I'm hoping I can save at least one person from an awful experience. I honestly don't know how she has any good reviews at all. The only thing I can think of is that her friends wrote them. My haircut was terrible too. It looked like I let a drunk person cut my hair. I had to make an appointment the next day at a different salon to get it fixed. The new stylist I saw couldn't understand how a professional with as much experience as Michelle has could have butchered my hair so badly. It was absolutely the worst hair experience I have ever had.

Michaile, did a great job on my hair. My hair color needed to be fix and she did great! Had gotten a lot of compliments! Happy with the service!

Stay clear! I would not recommend this place. The owner will talk inappropriately about her political views the entire session. I could have dealt with this, but the color job was terrible. I told her I wanted to get rid of the red in my hair, but when I left, my hair was even brighter red than when I arrived and my blonde highlights were brassy and awful. I immediately went somewhere else to get it cleaned up.

Michelle, the owner, is great. she is so friendly and does a great job. I moved from California and was in search for a good hair dresser so I looked this place up and she had great reviews. I ended up choosing this place and I am glad I did she does such a great job. I loved the way my cut and my color came out. I definetly found my new hair dresser.!!

I wouldn't suggest this place because 1. I didn't get the haircut I asked for, 2. She cut way too much of my hair off, 3. I was there for an hour and a half...most of the time she talked to people coming in and not about appointments, about everything else going on in the world. She probably could do a really good haircut if she listened to what the client asked for.

Nice, relaxed salon. I was very happy with how my color weave turned out. Good place to go with reasonable prices!
